At GATEWORKS all of the gates that we produce have attention to detail in the finishes that are applied to them. We offer 3 different types of finishes on the gates that leave our workshop, Galvanizing, Powder Coating and Primed ready for painting. Please take this opportunity to reed on and see what finish best suits you.
At GATEWORKS we guarantee all of the welding in our gates for 10 years. But if you want to considerably extend this the finish applied is very important. By limiting the exposure of the mettle of your gate to the elements by paint, powder coating or galvanizing can extend any mettles life span for years
Galvanizing is one of the most popular methods of finishing a gate due to its extremely long life and protection it offers the gate. It is mainly used for industrial premises or business premises. Where the galvanizing has not been damaged it has a life span of 25 years. All of our galvanized gates are galvanized by Galco Steel.
Powder coating is a very advanced method of applying paint to metal to get a seamless no streak surface which offers superior protection against the elements. With powder coating the paint is in dry powder form mixed with resin. This has an electrical charge applied to it while it is blown onto the gate. this is then heated to bond the paint powder to the gate in a seamless smooth coat. Only one colour can be applied to a gate using this method.
In order that you can choose a paint colour of your choice for your gates, we will prime them ready for you to paint. Painting is one of the most common methods of finishing gates and railings for homes. Black and Gold are the most common colour's used with the gold usually being applied to the design features to make them stand out.
